Matt’s has a long history with, and a deep love for, the stage. This shortened list of successes and accomplishments will attest to that. Matt has worked at all levels of musical theatre from Musical director to rehearsal pianist and continues to contribute heavily to the Musical Theatre community. 

Musical Director

Improv Pianist

Matt has been recognized as one of the best in the in the improv business. He is consistently able to rise to the challenge of  the fast paced, innovative improv piano work demanded by professional improvisers. Allan Marriott, artistic director of Adlibreto, has called Matt the best in Vancouver if not in Canada and Ken Lawson of Vancouver Theatre Sports has described Matt as “basically a genius”.

Orchestra Musical Theatre

A common site in the Vancouver Musical Theatre scene is to look onto the pit and see Matt at his keyboards. It takes a team of highly talented musicians to play a musical and Matt is right at home playing piano, keyboard, and/or synthesizer. Matt’s Musical Theatre credits to date include:
